Midnight in Vegas

It’s midnight in Vegas
and the lights are shining bright.
3000 miles away, it’s a dark & stormy night

I’m surrounded by the glitz and glam
like a far off foreign land
And I’d trade it all for one more chance
to hold my baby’s hand.

One more chance to say “I love you”
One more chance to hold her close;
to tell her how I need her, I wonder if she knows

one more time I shoot the dice
that’s just how it goes
One more opportunity to win away my woes
There’s a girl clinging too my arm,
but her eyes are on my stack
that’s all right she’s only here
for the size of her rack

I roll the dice for one more chance,
to save my sorry soul
One more chance to make it back, to where I need to go.

One more chance to say “I love you”
One more chance to hold her close;
to tell her how much I need her,
oh god I hope she knows

round and round the wheel spins
who knows where it ends.
the numbers flit by on the wheel
but nothing quite seems real
when I think back to that sunny day
when my love went away.
My chips are down, now I’m all out
I’ve nothing left to loose.
I pull my last bill from my pants
all I need is one more chance.

One more chance to say “I love you”
One more chance to hold her close;
to tell her how I need her, I wonder if she knows…
